Obviously one solution would be to give up, and just use the wired input devices. Perhaps even worse, after trying to register my mouse and keyboard under XP and failing, I rebooted under OS X, and they were no longer detected, so it appears that pairing these devices under windows somehow un-pairs them under OS X.
Is there some way to force Windows to accept a bluetooth device without a passcode? The problem I hope you can help me with is that I have an Apple wireless keyboard and mouse with this machine, and I haven't been able to get either of them to work when the system is booted with XP.īy plugging in a usb keyboard and mouse, I've been able to go to the bluetooth preferences and detect my wireless mouse and keyboard, but I haven't been able to get Windows to use these devices because I don't have a passcode for them (even if I did, how would I enter a passcode on a mouse?). I haven't posted here before, as it's been a few years since I ran windows on any of my machines, but I now have a situation where I need to run XP on my Mac Pro (windows only software that controls devices via firewire).
